Bladder Cancer

I have just been diagnosed with bladder cancer. Anyone have had their bladder removed?

  1. Hi I am glad you have reached out. Getting a diagnosis can be very overwhelming. There is so much information out there and it takes a while to process. I am sending over a forum discussion that I hope can help you: https://bladdercancer.net/forums/do-i-really-need-my-bladder-removed. And also sending this article with further information: https://bladdercancer.net/living/pros-cons-cystectomy. I hope our community members respond here with their personal experiences as well. Please reach out with any other questions you may have. Sending you lots of strength. Jill, bladdercancer.net team

    1. no one should have to wear a bag on their side. Speak to your doctor about a NeoBladder. I have had one for 8 years and no problems outside of occasional leaks. Pee normally. Why do all these doctors take the easy way out and stick a bag on these poor people.

  2. Yes and I received a NeoBladder 8 years ago. Do yourself a favor and don’t let the doctor put a bag on you. Go find a doctor that can do a NeoBladder.

    1. I have been a silent member for years.
